The ZHA™ Exception Report highlights areas of interest, including:

  • Filer hardware configuration: Number and type of PCI adapters in the unit and number of spare drives available.
  • Filer Storage: Total capacity possible and amount of storage used.
  • Critical Messages: Filer error messages and warnings that are of high level interest to an administrator, with links to a site containing further information and possible actions to take.
  • Additional informational messages: Similar to critical messages section, but these messages generally don't require immediate attention.

Functionality and Pricing Questions

Q1. What is the ZHA™ Exception Reporter?
A1. The ZHA™ Exception Reporter is a log file monitoring tool for the Network Appliance (NetApp) Storage Administrator and Storage Manager. It's designed to monitor and parse lengthy reports, pointing out areas of interest, and providing solutions to optimize your NetApp filer's storage utilization and efficiency. After analyzing the autosupport log files your filer sends out, such as weekly logs, notifications, and error messages, the ZHA™ Exception Reporter creates a customized report for your filer. These reports help storage managers and storage administrators identify and act on storage problems before they become catastrophic.
